?> “Computer Graphics B” is the spring semester course that builds on the technical and conceptual knowledge students developed over the course of the fall semester in “Computer Graphics A” or during the Computer Graphics class offered during summer school. Therefore, I expect students to have a solid foundation in the basic features of the two primary graphics applications, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, upon entering the class. We will engage more advanced two-dimensional design concepts and extend our foundation knowledge by way of research, exercises, projects and presentations designed to prepare students for the university class format, as well as entry-level positions in graphic design and other computer art-related occupations. By way of hands-on practice, students will continue to apply and extend the basics of inputing, creating and outputing digital media.
“Computer Graphics C” is an advanced graphic design class intended for students who have taken at least one semester of computer graphics at San Marino High School, are currently taking computer graphics or have otherwise obtained a good foundation in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The content of the course is focused on printmaking. We will explore stenciling, block printing, and then screen printing. This course covers two regular class periods so that students can investigate complicated production processes more thoroughly. In additional to the technical skills mentioned above, students will be expected to develop the content for their designs independently, but also fulfill the requirements specified for each project.
